血管内皮生长因子(VEGF)试剂盒   VEG613-Human - VEGF (Human) ELISA Kit

96-well (12 x 8-well strips) sandwich ELISA for the quantitation of recombinant or natural VEGF in serum, plasma, buffered solutions, and cell culture supernates.

Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) is a signal protein produced by cells that stimulates angiogenesis (i.e., the growth of blood vessels from pre-existing vasculature) and vasculogenesis (i.e., the de novo formation of the embryonic circulatory system).  VEGF's normal function is to create new blood vessels during embryonic development, new blood vessels after injury, muscle following exercise, and new vessels (collateral circulation) to bypass blocked vessels.  Serum concentrations of VEGF are normally high in patients with bronchial asthma and diabetes mellitus.  When VEGF is overexpressed, it can contribute to disease. For example, overexpression of VEGF can cause vascular disease in the retina of the eye and other parts of the body, as well as enabling solid tumors to vascularize and metastasize.

The above VEGF ELISA kit serves as an important research tool to quantify levels of recombinant or native VEGF protein in patient serum, plasma, buffered solutions, and cell culture supernates
